Canary Sail Celebrate 20 Years Afloat!!

This year Canary Sail celebrates 20 years in the business of providing RYA Sail Training, Canary Islands Cruising, and Yacht Charter

2003 – Canary Sail S.L formed in San Sebastián de la Gomera. In the April of that year, the first RYA Trying Course was conducted

2004 – The current principal joins the company as an RYA Cruising Instructor, bringing a second yacht with him

2005 – The current principal qualifies as an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor

2007/8 – Canary Sail was hit by some financial challenges

2009 – The current principal takes over the operation and a slow recovery begins.

2010 – La Gomera base expands as the recovery of the company continues, yachts were added and RYA Yachtmaster Exams were offered

2011 – A further yacht was added to the Canary Sail fleet

2014 – Canary Sail launched their second base in the South of Tenerife and 2 further yachts were added

2017 – Tenerife base support facility expanded and yet another yacht was added

2018 – RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Fastrack was added to our list of products

2020 – Covid Lockdown – Golden opportunity to completely overhaul the yacht. New 2015 Bavaria 41 ¨flagship¨yacht added

2021 – Hanse 400e Yacht completely overhauled

2022 – RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Exam passes continue to rise as our rate of success exceeds expectations

2023 – March – 2015 Bavaria 37 yacht added. April – Canary Sail will celebrate 20 years in business!!
