Intended for Families or groups of Friends wishing to experience this leisurely sailing cruise. Discover our favourite ports and marinas, all within close range of our base marina in Tenerife South. During the day, between destinations, time for anchor, lunch and a swim. Evenings are spent ashore, where you can savour the local cuisine. Your friendly RYA instructor/skipper will guide those of you wishing to participate and learn the ropes.

Typical Itinerary

Day 1 (Saturday – 17.00) – Travel/Arrival Day

We will meet and welcome you as you arrive at our sailing base. You are then settled on board your yacht and invited to join us for drinks and to meet your instructor. You will be made very welcome by the Canary Sail team and we can advise the best restaurants for you to sample!

Day 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 (Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed & Thurs)

Prepare the yacht including a full safety brief. Set sail for San Sebastián, la Gomera. Relax for the evening in this charming marina offering a good choice of restaurants and relaxing bars.

Your exclusive yacht cruise week itinerary is flexible and so can be decided by you and your crew, depending on your wishes. During your cruise, there are 5 destinations to choose from.

* Las Galletas (Tenerife South)

* Los Gigantes (Tenerife West)

* Garachico (Tenerife North)

* San Sebastian (La Gomera Capital)

* Valle Gran Rey (La Gomera West)

Anchorages for lunch and a swim are available between many of these destinations. Each evening, discuss with your fellow crew and skipper your plans for the following days activities. There will also be time to take a break ashore for a morning/afternoon or even a full day of rest & discovery on land.

Day 7 (Friday)

Return sail back to home port of San Miguel, South Tenerife. Remember – accommodation on board for your final evening is included!

Day 8 (Saturday) – Departure/Return Travel Day/Day off for those clients staying on

Leave the yacht at 09.00 latest please for your return home or to continue your holiday in Tenerife. Please see our stay page for accommodation.

What experience level is required for the Western Canary Islands Sailing Cruise?

The cruise is intended for people with some previous sailing experience. Participants should have completed a Competent Crew course or have similar experience, as you will be expected to helm and keep watch.

The cost covers your own cabin (no sharing unless chosen), six days of cruising with instructor guidance, and the opportunity to passage plan and skipper the yacht.

What are the accommodation options?

You can choose from a saloon berth, a panel-divided twin cabin berth, a single occupancy cabin, or a double cabin for couples. Prices vary based on the selected option.

What should I bring for the cruise?

Participants should bring appropriate sailing attire, personal items, and any necessary medications. It’s also recommended to bring a sense of adventure and readiness to learn and enjoy the experience.

Is wet weather gear included in the cost?

Yes if required, wet weather suits will be provided for all cruise weeks
