Looking for a sailing course at this time of the year for better weather than UK but with tidal experience etc. The instructor made it fun, interesting and was very patient, kept us all involved. Really enjoyed the course.

I felt that the competent crew plus was great way to improve my skills. And also a great location for this time of year.

Course criteria and content was discussed up front Access to books and learning materials to support learning during the course Clear instruction as to who is in charge The course was extremely inclusive and involved me in content that was above my course level that pushed me, developed my understanding greatly and made for a better experience. I wanted to try a cat and somewhere with good weather but with some challenges. A fantastic week aboard with Van, a calm but firm approach. Training  was focused and practical while still making it enjoyable. The week showed me I need to sharpen up on my theory, but thank’s to Van’s training I know exactly what to work on.

I found the email communication with Jim to be very good and somehow reassuring that Canary Sail is a very professional organization. Pati is an  exceptionally good teacher and incredibly competent. She made the course easy and enjoyable and is just a good person to have around.

Sunny weather this time of year. Windy conditions to practice. Good reputation. Enjoyed the course and my time here very much. I achieved what I wanted to, practice and become more confident as a Coastal Skipper.

Thanks to you and the team. Everything was handled so well from start to finish (thank you Andrea and Joy), and the week was excellent.

It had good reviews, tidal conditions and it looked warmer than England.
