"Navathome" Diesel Engine Course

The course takes approximately 20 hours to complete, with simple quizzes at every stage to help you learn.

No previous knowledge

The course consists of animated lessons that work on any device, test questions that are recorded in your results file and the final assessment which, if required, can be invigilated at one of the many training centres we work with.

Learn how to perform routine maintenance tasks; including changing the oil and oil filters, inspecting and replacing air filters, as well as adjusting the V belt tension for proper operation.

Learn how to diagnose reasons for slow running, starting problems, overheating, and other potential malfunctions, equipping them with the skills to address these issues effectively.

Learn about different types of oil, their properties, and the importance of selecting the correct oil for optimal engine performance and longevity.

Included Free when purchased together with the Navthome RYA Day Skipper, Navathome RYA Coastal Skipper, Navathome Yachtmaster Fastrack, & Navatahome Yachtmaster Ocean courses.

Course Expiry

There is an initial access period of 6 months which is plenty of time to complete any of the courses offered. Your access can be extended at any time for up to two years after your access runs out for an admin fee of £30.
Access lapses completely and your log in is deleted if your course has run out and you have not extended within two years of your course access expiry date.
Once you have completed the coursework and passed the assessment, your course is completed and your course access is terminated. You can request access to the revision course at this time.
