RYA Day Skipper Theory Course
"Navathome" on-line Course

The course takes approximately 40 hours to complete with an assessment of 2 parts
(1.5 hours for each) taken in one sitting.

No previous knowledge is required. It is likely you have your RYA Competent Crew or some previous sailing experience.

Introducing and building the student up to a competent level of navigation of a small craft. The course includes the following:

Basics
Navigation
Tidal streams
Passage planning
Tidal heights
Collision regulations
Electronic navigation
Weather
Buoyage
Safety

This course is the ideal method to advance to your next level – RYA Day Skipper Practical Course on board the yacht. On successful completion of your Navathome Theory Course you will receive an official RYA certificate from Navathome

€350.00 plus delivery to your nominated address (UK delivery costs included - See Shipping costs here).

The RYA Training Almanac and RYA Training Charts, Plotter & divider will be sent on either the same day or the next working day. The RYA exercise booklet and Shorebased notes booklet will be downloadable via a link sent to you by the RYA. 
Royal Mail or a courier service will be used to deliver the above mentioned items. They are sent with tracking information and should be signed for.
Navathome will not be held responsible for any duty or expenses incurred in the country of delivery.
Packs sent to 'Care Of' addresses.
Navathome will not be held responsible for pack sent to 'care of' addresses of any type including business, marinas, relatives etc.
Replacement packs for those lost after delivery will be at the sole expenses of the purchaser including postage and handling fees.

Course Expiry

There is an initial access period of 6 months which is plenty of time to complete any of the courses offered. Your access can be extended at any time for up to two years after your access runs out for an admin fee of £30.
Access lapses completely and your log in is deleted if your course has run out and you have not extended within two years of your course access expiry date.
Once you have completed the coursework and passed the assessment, your course is completed and you course access is terminated. You can request access to the revision course at this time.
